Introduction

BrightExpenses has implemented an enhanced authentication system using Bright ID, representing a significant upgrade from the legacy identity service. This new system provides improved security while maintaining user-friendly access to the platform.

Prerequisites

Before accessing BrightExpenses, please note:

• You must complete an ERR Submission from your licensed payroll product
• The application is accessible at https://expenses.brightsg.com
• Users should update their bookmarks to reflect the new URL

Standard Login Process

BrightExpenses offers a straightforward login process for registered users. Follow these steps to access your account:

1. Navigate to the Login Page
2. Input your credentials:
   • Enter your registered email address
   • Provide your password
3. Optional: Enable the Keep Me Signed-in feature to maintain your session and avoid frequent password entries.
4. Click the Sign In button to access your account
5. Upon successful authentication, you will be directed to your BrightExpenses dashboard

Password Recovery Process

If you've forgotten your password, BrightExpenses provides a secure recovery process using your Bright ID (registered email address):

1. Access the password reset function by selecting Forgot your password? on the Login page
2. Verification Process:
   • Enter your registered email address
   • Click Send verification code
   • Check your email for the verification code
3. Code Verification:
   • Enter the received verification code
   • Click Verify code
   • If needed, request a new code using the Send new code option
4. Email Confirmation:
   • Verify your email address
   • Select Continue
   • Alternative option: Use Change e-mail to update your email address
5. Password Reset:
   • Create and enter your new password
   • Click Continue to save changes
6. Completion:
   • Your password will be updated
   • The system will automatically log you in

1. Choose a strong, unique password
2. Regularly update your password
3. Avoid sharing login credentials
4. Log out when accessing the system from shared devices
5. Keep your email address current to ensure uninterrupted access to recovery features
